Millipedes

Millipedes are crawling insects, with a slim body and astonishingly large number of legs. Similar to Centipedes, they have a segmented body, but with a lot more number of segments present on their structure. They belong to Class Diplopoda and usually persist on organic matter, unlike centipedes. Their usual feeding habits include dead plant remains. They can easily extend up to 4cm in size and can be easily detected by humans. Millipedes are insects depending on plants for their survival and are usually found outdoors. But circumstances can change their course of action. They like to inhabit places which are musty and moist. As such if the atmosphere outside becomes too dry for them, they tend to look for properties to take shelter. Like many pests, they are nocturnal beings as well. Their presence in your property can be creepy, as many people are not too keen on the idea of crawling insects invading their home. If they are present in large numbers, it can sure become a nuisance for the residing individuals.
